About

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (CA & NM) with 15+ years of experience guiding individuals, couples, children, and families through life’s toughest challenges. My work bridges clinical expertise, equine-assisted learning/therapy, and faith-based mentoring, helping clients cultivate resilience, healing, and hope.

My professional journey began as a crisis advocate supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, which shaped my lifelong passion for trauma recovery and advocacy. Since earning my M.S. in Counseling Psychology (Marriage & Family Therapy specialization) from California State University, Fresno, I’ve counseled diverse populations across private practice, non-profit, and educational settings.

I specialize in:

  • Clinical Care: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Autism Spectrum, ADHD, domestic violence/sexual abuse recovery, grief, family and relational conflict, boundary setting, and crisis stabilization.

  • Therapeutic Approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Mind-Body Interventions, and Christian Counseling.

  • Special Programs: Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (Eagala-informed), Equine-Assisted Learning, workshops integrating faith, creativity, and emotional well-being.

  • Entrepreneurial Projects: Developing devotional journals, interactive toolkits, and wellness retreats blending counseling, essential oils, creative crafting, and leadership development.

  • Leadership & Training: Group facilitation, curriculum development, volunteer program design, and mentoring in servant leadership models.

At the core of my work is this conviction: healing is holistic—body, mind, and spirit. Whether in the therapy office, the arena with horses, or a workshop space filled with creativity and faith, my mission is to help people find restoration, clarity, and courage to live their best life.

In addition to my expertise as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am also trained in Equine Assisted Therapy, which adds a unique dimension to the therapeutic process. By incorporating horses into the therapeutic experience, we can explore emotional and relational dynamics in a nontraditional and powerful way.

Through Equine Assisted Therapy, you will have the opportunity to engage with horses and observe their behavior, which can serve as a mirror for your own emotions and patterns. Horses are highly attuned to nonverbal cues and provide immediate feedback, allowing for insightful self-discovery and personal growth.

Working alongside these magnificent animals, we can address a variety of issues, including communication difficulties, building trust, boundaries, and developing emotional regulation skills. Equine Assisted Therapy can be particularly beneficial for individuals, couples, and families seeking to strengthen their relationships, increase self-awareness, and overcome challenges.

By combining my background in Marriage and Family Therapy with Equine Assisted Therapy, I can provide a holistic and dynamic approach to help you uncover deeper insights, foster personal growth, and create meaningful change in your life and relationships.
